Woodslip Binding
The project was to bind a book in a Non-European binding style. I chose wood slip binding style used in Ancient China. Since there were no instructions on the binding, I had developed and executed the method best I could to match old photographs of bamboo slip books. Illustrations were then made to describe the process of making the book.
Plywood 5 x 8 in.
Nominated for and awarded an ASU Design Excellence Award.
